There are many beautiful places to visit in Westchester County and surrounding areas! To choose just one can be a hard task. Here are some posibilities.
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
Cross River, NY
This 4,310-acre park makes Ward Pound Ridge Reservation the county’s largest park. With its varied terrain, beautiful landscapes, and miles of wooded trails, the park provides a variety of activities for all seasons. There are areas for picnicking, lean-to camping, fishing and cross-country skiing.
Parking fees: $5 with Park Pass, $10 without Park Pass (May through mid-Oct; weekends only mid-Oct. through mid-May.)
Hours: Open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to dusk, year-round.
Route 35 and 121 South, Cross River.

Cold Spring, NY
Cold Spring is a historic village in Putnam County, New York that sits near the deepest point on the Hudson River.
It has many well-preserved 19th-century buildings, constructed to accommodate workers at the nearby West Point Foundry.
Cold Spring is filled with history and plentiful in natural treasures such as hills, and hiking or biking trails. It also has a beautiful park at the river’s edge with seating areas.
The Main Street is filled with antique stores, clothing stores, coffee houses and restaurants, many of them with outdoor seating and some with a patio to watch the trains go by.
Cold Spring serves as a weekend getaway for many residents of surrounding areas. An ideal place to visit any time of the year!
